Be the Word - We Can Read!

We can read!!!! This is one of our fun little games - Be the Word.  The kids love it because I don't let them show the class their letters until I say show.  Then we all read together.

Uncle Upton

Guess which letter we learned today!!!  U - Uncle Upton!!  Uncle Upton umpires the children's baseball games while he hangs upside down in the umbrella tree.

We also read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and made an umbrella tree.   We even made our names fall out of the tree! 

Our 2013 Kindergarten Year Has Begun!!

We did it!!  We made it through the first day of Kindergarten.  :)  Yeah!    We got to sing, dance, learn and play, and I think everyone had a wonderful day.   Thank you for trusting me with your little ones.  Like I said in the poem today, I will love them like I do my own!  I am soooooo looking forward to the year and can't wait to see how these kiddos grow.
